Originally, umpires ruled that Billy Butler's long drive did not clear the outfield fence at Kauffman Stadium on Wednesday. Only after checking video replay were the Kansas City Royals allowed to celebrate his game-ending two-run shot, the only runs in a 2-0 victory against the Angels.

For Butler, his first career game-winner was an anti-climax on top of an anti-climax.
"It's tough to tell here with home runs because we don't have a yellow line and the seats are right there and it bounces back a lot," Butler said. "He took a second to signal itwhen he returned. I didn't think he was going to signal."
