Time will tell if a liberal shave had anything to do with Edinson Volquez's nice return to the majors on Tuesday or if it was solely because he had the luxury of facing the Cubs in his first game since being exiled to the minors. That still didn't stop the Cincinnati Reds pitcher from whipping out a clump of his old dreads in the clubhouse on Wednesday, where our guy C. Trent Rosecrans from CBS Sports was able to snap a pic. Volquez says he still loves his hair, but that it was too hot to wear during a Cincinnati summer. I'm of the belief that it grew too heavy and eventually affected his mechanics but, hey, whatever gets those clippers out and buzzing.
